Making the most of your first hour at work.
Any business
would flourish if the manager or owner has a clear sense of time
management. Time management ensures the
accomplishment of many tasks, especially the ones clearly prioritized. This process can begin with a better
consideration of what one can do during the first hour at work.
Aside from there
being less interruptions during that first hour at the office, your mind is
unburdened by many other stimuli from the day’s progress. That first hour may just be the ideal time or
“golden hour” to really focus on getting things done.
Because what
usually happens is that a lot of people begin at a snail’s pace, opening their
email and checking the tasks that await them.
This can be a huge waste of time, as one could actually plan the night
before the lineup of the day’s work. The
worker can jot down the most urgent tasks to be done as soon as he or she steps
into the office. This mindset alone can
be immensely beneficial to the business.
Committing to
this “golden hour” perspective can lead not only to task reduction and
efficiency, but also to the improvement of the overall attitude toward work. The worker then constantly feels that he or
she has accomplished something great.
